Special Needs Yoga Mentoring Program
Are you a yoga teacher who is interested in teaching special needs children and young adults but aren’t really sure how to begin? Our Special Needs Yoga Mentoring Program offers fun, hands-on and effective strategies for teaching yoga to children and young adults of diverse abilities, scheduled at your convenience and taught entirely one-on-one!
This exciting teacher/mentoring program is taught by Sheri Sansom, 500 E-RYT , YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider through Yoga Alliance) at Living Waters Yoga in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI or at your location. Having worked extensively with children and adults over the past 30 years, Sheri unites her passion for the special needs community, her gifts of creativity, her solid faith and her expertise in teaching through this mentoring program. For the past 15 years Sheri has specialized in working with children and young adults with significant cognitive and language delays, sensory processing deficits, as well as severe behavior challenges though yoga, music, or through a blending of the two. Sheri also leads advanced teacher trainings, workshops, and regularly teaches private clients and classes of all abilities.

Finding new ways to incorporate fun and creativity enhancing each yoga experience.
Breathing, relaxation and mindfulness activities and positive behavior strategies.
Hours are eligible to be used as continuing education credits through Yoga Alliance
