What a fabulous experience! Attending Living Waters Yoga classes has left me pain free, relaxed and peaceful.
Three years ago I had been diagnosed with back instability due to an injury from two auto accidents. I had very sharp back pain as well as radiculopathy (pain radiating down one or both legs). I had several months of physical therapy and was left with daily exercises to strengthen my core muscles.
In January of 2012 I happen to walk past the Living Waters sign offering Community Yoga (a weekly introductory complimentary session) in front of Jumps Restaurant and thought I would give it a try.
I tried it and loved it! Thanks to Sarah Mebus-Holder who encouraged me to try all the different classes, my life has improved. Sarah, Myreya Meyers, Marna Getz, Melissa Gray and Britta Hofmann are some of the gifted and professional Yoga Teachers that have had such a positive impact on my experience. Thank you so much for everything.
I just can’t say enough about Living Waters and highly recommend it to you. I have been able to return to cycling, walking, and swimming as well as sleeping pain free at night. The spiritual approach has left me more peaceful and relaxed. I think you will enjoy it too.
This new class offering starts again in January and is expanding to serve families with toddlers too. Each 45 minute class begins at 10:15am on Thursdays starting in January.
Living Waters BYOB Yoga celebrates the intimate connections between God and His creation of family. The class is fun and lighthearted, creating a deeper bond between mama and baby. This class integrates baby yoga and massage, and a nurturing yoga sequence that incorporates your little one to increase your flexibility and strength, while nurturing your spirit. BYOB yoga also offers a chance to connect with other moms in a loving, warm, supportive community! Open to moms who are feeling fine at 6 weeks postpartum. Mamas who had a Cesarean-section should wait a little longer—8 to 10 weeks; check with your healthcare provider. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Jessica at (313) 570-0416.
From Jessica Kodanko, January 2012:
Thank You Living Waters Yoga! Practicing yoga at your studio is such a blessing! Your class Gentle Journey made a huge difference in my health during my second pregnancy, teaching me to relax on a daily basis and strengthening my body all at the same time. I truly believe the breathing and focus techniques learned allowed for a quick, uncomplicated, epidural free delivery of my son and allowed me to bounce back to my self during postpartum. If anyone asks me where to practice yoga, I will highly recommend Living Waters to him or her. You are truly a remarkable, supportive studio, encouraging a mind, body and heart experience like no other. Thanks again!!!
To all the wonderfully caring and lovely instructors at Living Waters: Thank you all so much for your beautiful ministry! You have all been such a blessing in my life this past year. You are truly serving God and using the amazing talents which He has gifted you. Have a joyful and blessed Christmas! Jeanne VanEgmond Dec 21, 2011
From Kathleen Hanson Kastner to our Facebook page regarding the “Stillness” workshop with master Yin teacher, Bethany Perry….
“What a great class – thanks Bethany and Livingwaters. I would do that every Saturday if it were offered! Or perhaps a weeknight

To Living Waters Yoga: I enjoy your community yoga class very much. It ‘s great that you vary the class every week. The core work is greatly appreciated, and adjusting at the end of class is a special treat.
